SKETCHBOOK - MARKS AND COLLAGE
AT STUDIO NL - LEICESTER
We traveled back up to Leicester with our newly designed and printed Sketchbooks for Children - To teach our Sketchbooks - Marks and Collage workshop at the fantastic STUDIO NL.
In this workshop children were given a beautifully designed sketchbook to reshape, using a variety of art materials. They also explored and learnt about the historical and contemporary artists that feature throughout the book.
Through collage and mark making the sketchbooks took on a new life and were transformed by participants, into unique art objects.
Curated by art therapist Grace Thompson, and designed by Illustrator Peter Cline, The Little Art Forms Sketchbook was developed to ignite and encourage creativity and imaginative thinking. Packed full of images that highlight and bring together the work of contemporary and historical artists from around the world, their images act as a springboard for ideas, and to ignite and encourage children's imaginative thinking.
